My Story

I am Stefanie, born in the 70s, sports teacher & business administrator. I am certainly not a couch potato because I have always loved to be active – athletics, martial arts, horse riding and table tennis growing up and nowadays enjoying yoga, bellydancing and  walking. But in recent months I’ve started feeling different – I’m not myself anymore – not sleeping through the nights, tearing up easily, having a short fuse with my daughter, being more impatient, pants sitting tight, my mid body feeling swollen. The list is long.

It took a while to come to terms with the fact my body is changing. Something was just not right.

I went to see my GP to get my blood checked, finding out what my thyroids and hormones were doing– with the frustrating result – of neither showing any signs of perimenopause nor anything else. All changes must be due to the recent pandemic – moving less and eating more…

About Hormone Yoga Therapy


Dinah Rodriguez, a Brazilian Yoga Teacher and Doctor of Psychology began researching the effects of specific yoga practises on the endocrine system in 1992. From this studies she developed a series of exercises to reactivate the hormone production for anyone of the age of 35+ to prevent menopausal symptoms.

It shows to lessen the chance of later ailments like osteoporosis or the chance of cardio-vascular diseases. It helps improving fertility and removing premenstrual symptoms in younger women and improving testosterone levels and prostate health in men.

Over time, the mixed practise of exercises, breathwork, visualisation and relaxation shows beneficial for most other hormonal imbalances, like Diabetes I & II, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or Thyroid Dysfunctions.

Most importantly, Hormone Yoga Therapy promotes a positive attitude in women towards the peri-menopausal and menopausal changes occurring during this lengthy period of time. Some of the many benefits are
